Esperanza

esp2.jpg

Sometimes you choose your collaborators, other times the universe smashes you together. Having been introduced by another serendipitous collaborator and friend, Josh Walden, it only took five seconds listening to Nicola Vazquez's music on Spotify to understand what an honor it would be to work together.

Fast forward ten-odd months and lots of laughs later, and we have Esperanza. Probably the funniest play about losing loved ones to the sea there is.

Inspired by legendary lighthouse keeper, Ida Lewis, one part Isabelino-era, heightened-language, petticoats and vests, another part sleepy island culture, and one last part headbanging ballads and indie-rock gems, Esperanza is unlike anything anyone anywhere has experienced ever.

We're going to lift you from your seats, hand you an oar, and make you a local. Welcome to your new home.
